Record snowfall in Texas

Each winter we have lived in TX we have seen a little snow, usually just an inch or so.  This year was different.  The weather forecasters predicted about 4 inches but we ended up with 9 inches (approx 22 cm) in our neighbourhood and other places ended up with up to 12 inches.  The kids were stoked, as were we, we haven't seen snow like that since leaving New England and it is nice to get a chance to play in it again.  Especially now that the kids are bigger and you dont have to worry about them getting lost in a snow drift LOL

Finn all ready to head out in the snow.

The boys built this really ugly snowman.  I kind of liked him, he made me laugh!

Madeleine and Finn eating snow.  I love that you can see the snow coming down in this picture!

Later in the day we had a Dad against Kids snow war!

Uh oh, who do you think won this particular battle??

Jeremy giving Campbell a free shot to get him back.  Owen was going to take him up on the free shot.....you can see Jeremy letting him know that he might want to think twice hehe

The street when we woke up on Friday February 12th

Measuring the snow, it was at just around 8 inches (approx 20cms) here and we had some more fall during the day
